DIY Spa for Bride-to-be to make her feel special
A bride to be must have a spa to make her feel like a princess. A spa is a relaxing place for the bride to be and she can get ready for the wedding day there too! Spas are also great places to relax and take time out from everyday life. To start your DIY spa, you need to find the perfect place to set it up. It could be a room in your house, or if you wanted to be more luxurious, renting a hotel suite would also be perfect!
Now that you have your space, it’s time to set up. You’ll need to clear out any clutter and make sure there are no random items lying around that could be dangerous. If you can’t find anything of use in the bathroom already (like a towel), put them somewhere safe until after the party is over–you don’t want anyone getting hurt!
Next, grab some supplies and get started:
- Cleaning supplies–you’ll need plenty of soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash
- Spa towels–this isn’t optional! You’ll want at least one per person so they can sit down comfortably while relaxing in the spa bathtub or shower stall (or whatever else you decide to use). Make sure they’re long enough for everyone at least knee-high; otherwise people might trip over them when walking around during their treatment session(s).
- Other essentials like shampoo rinses/conditioners/baths salts etc…
Bathrooms
The bathroom is the most important part of your spa. It needs to have a shower, toilet, sink and mirror. Make sure you have enough space for all these things!
You also need to make sure that your bathroom is accessible for your guests. If you don’t have an accessible bathroom at home then ask someone who does if there are any options available in their house or apartment building (or even better yet hire an accessibility specialist).
Bathroom Wiring
- Use a GFCI outlet. This will ensure that you don’t accidentally shock yourself and kill your hair.
- Make sure it is plugged into a grounded outlet.
- Make sure the wire is long enough to reach the bathroom (about 20 feet). If your power strip doesn’t have enough outlets, consider using an extension cord or buying one separately.
You also want to keep a surge protector on hand if possible; they will help protect against voltage fluctuations in case of lightning strikes or other electrical emergencies that could damage parts of your home’s wiring system–and even if they don’t actually save anyone from injury, they’ll at least prevent damage from occurring!
Ambiance Lighting
- Use low wattage bulbs. You want your spa to feel like a relaxing space, so it’s best not to use bright lights in there.
- Dim the lights! If you have any dimmers in the room and can control them from afar, then that’s even better than having a switch on each lamp.
- Avoid harsh lighting angles as much as possible–you don’t want any harsh shadows or unflattering lines on your body when naked (unless of course that is what you were going for). A diffused light source will help keep things soft-looking while still giving off plenty of illumination to see everything clearly while in the tub or showering/bathing!
- Use candles instead of incandescent bulbs; they look beautiful lit up against white walls while providing plenty of light without being bright enough to hurt eyesight or cause discomfort over long periods of time spent in front of them.”
Makeup Area
The makeup area should be near a mirror. It will be convenient for you to apply your makeup before arriving at the spa, but also useful if you have trouble with your eyes or face during your treatment, as it will allow you to get something comfortable on your face without having to leave the room.
Makeup chairs are very common in spas and salons–they are typically made from wood and metal, but sometimes they’re just a simple chair with padding around it (like this one). One thing I like about this kind of makeup chair is that it doesn’t take up too much space because there’s no backrest or arm rest; instead all of its features are built into its design so that when someone sits down in them, everything stays put!
When choosing an appropriate light source for this area of your spa party setup, think about how much natural light comes through during daytime hours when guests arrive at their appointments! You’ll want something bright enough not only because it helps create an inviting atmosphere but also because even though most people won’t notice any difference between artificial vs natural light sources when applying makeups by themselves anyway…it still makes sense from an environmental perspective since we don’t want anything artificial polluting our airways either 🙂
Makeup Station
- Makeup station should be clean and organized. Make sure you have everything you need, including a mirror and lighting, so that your client can feel comfortable while getting ready.
- Have a chair to sit on while applying makeup! This will make it easier for her to apply her makeup properly, which will ultimately lead to better results (and less time spent making bad mistakes). You can even use this same idea in reverse by getting two chairs so each bridesmaid has their own place in the room where they can sit down before meeting with their friends or family members who are coming over later on during the evening hours (or even earlier at night).
